Good morning, folks.

Today is Thursday 7/18/24 and I want to tell you about my Facebook Marketplace adventure from Tuesday. First off, let me start with today. I crawled out of bed to see my tired but always beautiful girlfriend head off to her office. I had my mind set on not being too lazy and getting a decently early start to my day.

So, Tuesday I woke up and had little to no motivation besides drinking coffee and watching the local news. Since I am cheap and do not pay for cable until football season, (Go #STEELERS) I use the free news app on my #ROKU "Telly" as my Scottish friend Glenn (with two N's) would say. Glenn will be in future posts for sure and you will not be disappointed. Anyway, OYG (on you go) with Tuesday.

While I was scrolling through local Facebook Marketplace, I saw a patio table and two chairs. These things pop up from previous searches since social media tracks everything! We have been looking for something small and tall for the pool area and it looked to be a good deal at the right price.

Our new hanging out poolside, bluetooth speaker stand and beer holder was about an hour away in The Villages #THEVILLAGES. The Villages community of Florida is pretty famous it's size, medical issues and upside-down pineapples. Many heath issues are STD's because of sildenafil aka blue pill that starts with V. It is a big community, and I am sure the percentage of people that practice the lifestyle or have issues is smaller than publicized.

So, I decided to take my trailer and surf the web for more things I may or most likely do not need. It was not a bad drive with the usual stop for gas and unhealthy snacks of course. The quite older elderly lady was very nice and gave good directions. Many people at her point in life are not very good with social media and directions, including myself at times. She lived in a gated community, not part of the Villages but similar. As I was driving through, I was surprised to see a couple younger people living in the neighborhood walking and checking the mail. I also saw lots of homes for sale, that made me wonder why but the older population and Florida heat are big reasons. She greeted me at the door with a small Pomeranian dog. I am not going to use her real name and will call her Eleanor; Eleanor just seems to fit a women born around her birth time. Eleanors dog was smelling my shoes with the scent of my almost six-year-old pup, Chevy the chocolate lab (Facebook name). Not sure what is below her nose in this picture at the Blue Ridge / Toccoa River at the Holiday KOA #KOA campground in #BLUERIDGEGEORGIA back in May. I will post about that trip at some point.

Anyway, OYG (on you go), when I actually have some followers, I will stop spelling it out.

I go look at the table and it is very nice. I pay her and start to carry it to the door when she starts telling me about the dog. Not sure of its name but we will call it Fluffy. Turns out Fluffy was a rescue from Korea and Eleanor tells me that they were going to make soup out of her. Either way she looks to really love the dog and it loves her. Elenor went on to tell me her husband passed away one year after they moved into their home, and she was moving in with one of her kids. I do not know her husband's name but will call him Bob; She tells me Bob was retired Army with 33 years of service. Thank you for your service Bob and everyone else who served for our country so that we can live free. Below is a picture of our flag ladder from our thrifting etc...

Well, after searching for other #MARKETPLACE deals and no luck I headed to the house with our new table and chairs.

I think I staged it nice for the photo too. Not much of a photographer or blogger at this point but working on it. May have to upgrade my #WALMART #STRAIGHTTALK phone and take some grammar lessons if I keep this up. I have learned that the grammar police force is huge, very HUGE (in Trump voice).

Thanks for checking in and please sign up to follow me or add me to your favorites at least. Please give a hillbilly cracker a chance! If anything, this will be my pricey diary/journal.

Thanks!
